So let's say I rented out the house for 6 months last year. Of course, in reality the effective monthly rent is $1900, and this is the amount the tenant actually pays me. I have a separate contract signed with the tenant stating that they are responsible for all outdoor maintenance of the property (snow removal/lawn mowing/etc) and for this I "pay" the tenant $100/month. For example, the official lease states a monthly rent of $2000. My main question is whether or not I have to add a line for the maintenance of the property by the tenant. ![]() After a quick Google I found this template that I intend to use. ![]() ![]() I'm a first-time landlord, need to provide tenants with tax receipts for the rent paid in 2018. Since there are quite a few landlords in this forum I thought I'd ask here (did a quick search but did not come across this).
